Acro Assistant Certification

The  Acrobatic Arts Student Assistant Program is designed for young dancers who are passionate about dance and interested in developing the skills to become confident, valued future teaching assistants.

Open to dancers aged 12–17 years, this certification program combines online learning with practical, hands-on experience to help students grow as leaders both in and out of the studio. Children may start the practical class younger but they must be 12 to take the online study.

Throughout the course, students will explore:

  • Leadership styles and mentoring skills
  • Positive classroom behaviour and etiquette
  • Child development milestones
  • Lesson planning and class transitions
  • Roles and responsibilities of an assistant teacher
  • Identifying potential safety hazards
  • Basic anatomy knowledge
  • Foundational teaching skills for future career opportunities
  • Acrobatic activities and the history of acrobatics

Each student will receive:

  • A comprehensive workbook
  • Access to online learning materials, including videos and images
  • A certificate upon successful completion of the program

Students have 3 months to complete the certification at their own pace.

Course Mentor:
Our Director and Principal Teacher, Louise, is an Acrobatic Arts Certified module 1 & 2 teacher with extensive further training in several aspects of acro, flexibility, strength and skill development. Louise will personally mentor each participant, providing practical guidance throughout the course and ongoing support with their online learning.

This is a wonderful opportunity for young dancers to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and take their first steps towards a future in dance teaching.
