About Us
EntertainArts was founded in 2009 by Director & Principal Teacher Louise Jacquemin, a highly qualified and dedicated dance and performing arts teacher with extensive training, experience and a lifelong passion for performance and artistic development.
Our Approach
At the heart of EntertainArts is care for each student’s growth, confidence, and individuality. We believe that high-quality training and kindness should go hand in hand, creating an environment where performers feel supported, encouraged, and seen. It is possible to maintain extremely high standards while supporting every performer. Whether students are performing for enjoyment, examinations, performance opportunities, or professional pathways, EntertainArts provides a space where they are valued, challenged, and nurtured at every step. We believe in training the whole performer — supporting not only technical skill but also confidence, resilience, and wellbeing.
Day School Training
We provide day time training to children who have permission from their schools to be flexi schooled or that are home educated in a pre-vocational atmosphere with a dance and performing arts college feel. The teaching standard is high and targeted to support children who want to excel in dance and performing arts.
Private Programs and Qualifications
In addition to her day school and classes, we run private lesson and group programs including GCSE Dance, Gold Arts Award mentoring, Assistant Programmes, LAMDA examinations as a recognised centre, and a range of other syllabus exams for the ISTD RAD, Acrobatic Arts and Aerial Arts. In addition we also teach new flexibility and strength techniques via the Alixa Method and as well as RADAR technique.
These programs give performers the opportunity to gain accredited qualifications, develop their skills in depth, and gain recognised credentials alongside their studio training.
Work in Schools
In addition to studio teaching we work with schools, delivering cross-curricular dance lessons, offering workshops, and creating programs to help teachers confidently teach dance.
These projects allow EntertainArts to share its expertise beyond the studio and inspire students and staff in a variety of educational and traditional dance school settings.
Within the Community
Within the community we are particularly interested in helping talented pupils access a high level of training to become successful in the performing arts industry. In addition how movement base provisions can help pupils with SEND in schools. We hope to run a new project for these in the local area soon.
History and Contributions to the Wider Performing Arts Community
Over 15 years, Our Director & Principal teacher Louise founded and played a pivotal role in creating Berkshire Dance Academy and later Colburn Performance Academy & Agency. She shaped the training, ethos, and high standards of the school, developing technical programs, performance opportunities, and competitive teams that have achieved success at the All England Dance Competitions, the Dance World Cup, and many other prestigious events and productions. Louise gifted this part of her school to her sister, Laura to one day be passed down to her incredibly talented niece Sienna-Rose. Louise is proud of her sister and the school’s ongoing success. She continues to assist with private lessons and examinations and will always celebrate the students’ achievements sharing in the joy of seeing the school she created and its performers thrive.
In 2015, Louise created the
Hampshire Festival of Dance building it to successfully pass its All England inspection. The festival provides performance opportunities for young performers and schools across the region, reflecting Louise’s commitment to nurturing talent and creating positive, inclusive platforms for their development. The festival has since evolved into the
Bracknell Forest Festival of Dance. Although Louise is no longer directly involved in running the festival, she attends annually, proudly supporting her pupils - both past and present, as well as performers in the wider community.
