ISTD & RAD

We offer exams with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing for Modern, Jazz and Tap Exams. We also offer Royal Academy of Dance exams for Ballet. This can be as a sole teacher or as a support to your current training.  Exams are booked as often as required.

Did you know these qualifications can contribute to UCAS points?

RAD Exams & UCAS Points

For many RAD graded and vocational exams:

• Grade 6 — UCAS points available
• Grade 7 — UCAS points available
• Grade 8 — UCAS points available
• Intermediate — carries higher UCAS tariff points
• Advanced Foundation — also included in the tariff system

(Exact points depend on Pass, Merit, or Distinction.)

ISTD Exams & UCAS Points

Grade 6

• Pass — 8 UCAS points
• Merit — 10 UCAS points
• Distinction — 14 UCAS points

Intermediate

• Pass — 24 UCAS points
• Merit — 27 UCAS points
• Distinction — 33 UCAS points

Important note:

• Advanced 1 and Advanced 2 do not receive UCAS points because they are Level 4 qualifications (already considered higher-education level).
