Meet Louise Jacquemin
Director & Principal Teacher
EntertainArts was founded in 2009 by Director & Principal Teacher Louise Jacquemin, a dedicated dance and performing arts teacher with extensive training, experience and a lifelong passion for performance and artistic development. She holds a BA (Hons) degree in Dance and Culture, with professional training at The Place, London, where she worked closely with renowned dance practitioners and resident companies. Louise is a syllabus teacher with RAD, ISTD and IDTA, certified in four Alixa Flexibility modules to enhance technical strength and mobility. She has expanded her expertise through Acrobatic Arts training which she plans to continue. She is also trained in vertical harnessed based dance.
As a family-run dance & performing arts school, EntertainArts is proud of the achievements of its pupils. Many have progressed to leading UK colleges, while others perform professionally, become qualified teachers, or enjoy lifelong confidence through performance. Louise believes that high-quality performing arts training develops life skills, resilience, and a professional approach that benefits students in any career.
Louise's Approach
At the heart of EntertainArts is care for each student’s growth, confidence, and individuality. Louise believes that high-quality training and kindness should go hand in hand, creating an environment where performers feel supported, encouraged, and seen. It is possible to maintain extremely high standards while supporting every performer. Whether students are performing for enjoyment, examinations, performance opportunities, or professional pathways, EntertainArts provides a space where they are valued, challenged, and nurtured at every step. Louise also holds a diploma in Mental Health, reflecting her belief in training the whole performer — supporting not only technical skill but also confidence, resilience, and wellbeing. This holistic approach is central to her teaching philosophy, helping students thrive both as performers and in life.
Private Programs and Qualifications
In addition to her day school and classes, Louise runs private lesson and group programs at EntertainArts, including GCSE Dance, Gold Arts Award mentoring, LAMDA examinations as a recognised centre, and a range of other syllabus exams for the ISTD and RAD. In addition she also teachers new flexibility and strength techniques via the Alixa Method and as well as RADAR technique.
These programs give performers the opportunity to gain accredited qualifications, develop their skills in depth, and gain recognised credentials alongside their studio training.
Work in Schools
In addition to studio teaching, Louise has worked with schools, delivering cross-curricular dance lessons, supporting productions, and creating programs to help teachers confidently teach dance.
These projects allow EntertainArts to share its expertise beyond the studio and inspire students and staff in a variety of educational settings.
Louise is particularly interested in how movement base provisions can help pupils with SEND in schools and hopes to run a new project for this in the local area.
Contributions to the Wider Performing Arts Community
Over 15 years, Louise played a pivotal role in creating Berkshire Dance Academy and later Colburn Performance Academy & Agency. She shaped the training, ethos, and high standards of the school, developing technical programs, performance opportunities, and competitive teams that have achieved success at the All England Dance Competitions, the Dance World Cup, and many other prestigious events and productions. Louise gifted this part of her school to her sister, Laura Amer to one day be passed down to her incredibly talented niece Sienna-Rose. Louise is proud of her sister and the school’s ongoing success. She continues to celebrate the students’ achievements and is always happy to offer support, sharing in the joy of seeing the school and its performers thrive.
In 2015, Louise created the
Hampshire Festival of Dance, which has since evolved into the Bracknell Forest Festival of Dance. The festival provides performance opportunities for young performers and schools across the region, reflecting Louise’s commitment to nurturing talent and creating positive, inclusive platforms for artistic development. Although she is no longer directly involved in running the festival, she attends annually, proudly supporting and champions the achievements of her pupils and young performers in the wider performing arts community.
